Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to get it back or have it deleted. Written to meet Australian Privacy Principle 1.
What we collect
When you place an order: your name, email address, mobile number, delivery address, and any institution, PO number or delivery note you enter. We also record what you bought, when, and the amount charged.
When you create an account: your email address and password (the password is hashed by our authentication provider and is never visible to us), plus any name, mobile or institution you save to your profile, and any delivery addresses you choose to keep.
When you write a review: your rating, the review text, and your first name as it appears on your profile. Reviews are public.
When you sign up for an offer, ask us to source a compound, ask to be told when something is back in stock, or contact us: your email address and whatever you write in the message.
We do not collect or store card numbers. Payment details are entered directly into our payment processor’s own form and never reach our servers.
Why we collect it
To take and fulfil your order, to send transactional email about it (confirmation, dispatch, refund, pre-order arrival), to run your account, to publish reviews you choose to write, to answer your messages, and to keep the business records the law requires us to keep.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not send marketing email unless you asked for it — and every such email carries an unsubscribe.
Who else sees it
| Who | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Our payment processor | Your name, email, delivery address and order amount | To take the payment. They are the only party that handles card details. |
| Our database and authentication provider | Everything above, stored | Where your account and your orders are kept. |
| Our hosting provider | Request logs, including IP address | Standard server logs, kept briefly. |
| Our email provider | Your email address and the message contents | To deliver transactional email. |
| Our courier | Your name, address and phone number | To deliver the parcel. |
| Only if you choose “Continue with Google” | Sign-in. We receive your email address and given name; Google does not receive your order history. |
Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia. By using the site you consent to that overseas disclosure. We otherwise disclose personal information only where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for five years, which is the period Australian tax law requires business transaction records to be retained. Account details, addresses and reviews are kept until you delete them or close your account.
Your account, your data
From the Profile tab of your account you can:
- Download everything we hold about you as a JSON file — account details, saved addresses, full order history and your reviews.
- Delete your account. Your profile, saved addresses and reviews are erased and your email sign-ups are cleared.
One thing survives deletion, and we would rather say so plainly than have you discover it: past orders are kept as anonymous transaction records, because we are required to retain them. Your name, email, phone number and address are stripped out of them; what remains is the money, the dates and the items.
You can also ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or to access your information in another form, by emailing feedback@pureamino.com.au.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and browser-storage entries, all of them functional: a pair of secure, httpOnly cookies that keep you signed in; your cart; your age confirmation; and whether you have already been shown the discount offer. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site.
Security
Sessions are held in httpOnly cookies, which no script on the page can read. Access to your data is enforced by database row-level security rather than by application code alone. Card data never touches our servers.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email feedback@pureamino.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
